Good News: Israel Researchers Discover A Cure For Coronavirus

As the world continues to come to terms with the spread of the deadly Coronavirus, researchers from Israel have been working around the clock to find the cure and they now say that they have found the solution.

In an announcement that is likely to save the world from the claws of death, scientists from Migal Galilee Research Institute in Israel say that they have “achieved a scientific breakthrough” in treating Coronavirus.

The scientists say they have managed to cure birds that had been infected with Coronavirus. They say the birds had been cured after treatment was administered on them.

The Coronavirus in birds has similar patterns as those in humans. The scientists say the genetic structure of both the birds and humans are similar, saying the treatment developed for birds can also be used to treat humans.

“The solution we are developing against COVID-19 virus has proven effective, and we believe a version for human treatment can be ready within eight to 10 weeks. That would be followed by a 90-day test period to ensure safety. The treatment we developed for birds is given orally, and the treatment we are developing for humans will also be given orally,” David Zigdon, Chief Operating Officer of the Institute, said.

Coronavirus has so far killed more than 3,200 people globally with the majority of the deaths happening in China, especially the city of Wuhan where the virus is believed to have originated. By Thursday, the total number of infections had reached more than 93,000.

Despite the virus being reported in several African countries with the latest being South Africa, no African has died from the virus, making medical experts in the Western World spent sleepless nights trying to find out why.
Kenya says it has put in place to combat the virus when it lands in Kenya. So far, no confirmed case.
